IG and LeftLane are two local rappers making big moves in the North American hip-hop/rap scene. Both emcees hit FitzRay’s to light up the stage for Indie Wednesday. Although they’re both indie in a sense, they’re both making big moves and sharing the stage with some of the industry’s biggest rhymers.

Here’s some highlights from last FitzRay’s Indie Wednesday’s event:

IG is an up and coming Chatham rhymer whose talent is quickly being being taken note of. His presence in the industry is expanding fast. Check out the video for his single, “Letter To My Momma” – a very heartfelt, deep and emotional track about the loss of his mother at a young age.

London/Toronto-based LeftLane and DJ DoubleDown have been making big noise in the Southwestern Ontario hip-hop scene and beyond. Their reach in the indie scene is quickly becoming unparalleled. Always dropping bangers that gets the audience moving, LeftLane’s lyrics and DoubleDown’s scratches have earned them quite a reputation having shared the stage with The Weekend, Wale, Snoop Dogg, Big Sean and, most recently, Lil Yatchty.
