Last Friday, the energy was high octane as four amazing regional bands came through to blow the roof off of Norma Jean’s for the beginning of the Punk Is Dead! Tour!
London’s genre-benders, Dank City, kicked off the show with their hyper-blend of punk, rock and metal. Next up was the Waterloo pop punk fivesome, Among Legends, who put on an electrifying set with their unstoppable energy! The Bar-Tops came all the way from Brantford, bringing a healthy dose of feelgood with their party punk and harmonies. Aylmer-based move makers, The Moore Ave Underground, wrapped up the night with an outstanding performance packed with a few surprises, wild stage antics and a few guest performances!
There was a pulse in the room thumping as loud as the speakers themselves. Sure, the flyer said “Punk Is Dead” but everyone in attendance was living proof that punk, is indeed, very much alive!
A huge thanks to all the musicians that came through and put on one hell of a show! Also, another huge thanks to Norma Jean’s and their incredible staff for taking on the event!
