With just over two weeks to go until Good Vibes Only Fest 2019 puts a smile on our faces, there’s going to be a plethora of great performances. Every great show needs great headliners to bring it all together. So, without further ado, let’s meet The Soul Motivators and Mob Barley & The Railers!

The Soul Motivators

Based in Toronto, The Soul Motivators have become a staple in the Canadian funk scene, using a righteous blend of 70s funk, modern soul, psychedelic grooves and breakbeats to enrich and solidify their sound.

2015 saw the launch of their debut album, Free To Believe. Following the success of their release, The Soul Motivators they’ve toured tirelessly to bring their high-octane shows to the masses. Their first EP, Dirt On The Floor, has kept the momentum going. Enter the present day and the group is just releasing their second EP, Mindblastin’!

Over the years, they’ve shared the stage with Grandmaster Flash, Afrika Bambaataa, Lee Fields, A Tribe Called Red, Tortured Soul, Bernue Worrell and more!

Mob Barley & The Railers

What happens when you take members from notable bands such like: The Salads, Sumo Cyco, Mr. Middleman, The Pocket Dwellers, Dub Trinity and Skratch3? You get none other than Mob Barley & The Railers!

Together for over 10 years, the band is a supergroup of sorts. When not involved with their other projects, Mob Barley & The Railers like to kick up the funk! It’s not often you find a band with its members scattered across the province like this that, not only have time to get together under such an immense side project, but know how to do with a rich chemistry and musical excellence.

The accolades for each individual band involved in Mob Barley & The Railers is astounding. Even as a supergroup, these guys have pulled some solid moves. They’ve packed iconic Toronto venues like Lee’s Palace, Opera House, Rebel, CNE and more. They’ve also played several Q107 events in Toronto.

Known for putting their own twist on Bob Marley classics, Mob Barley & The Railers are coming to make you move for Good Vibes Only Fest 2019 – Day 2!
